Belt Size Guide: Length, Width Buckle Fit
A belt’s wearable length, strap width and total end-to-end length are different measurements. A label such as 25 mm or 40 mm usually describes width; it is not a waist-size label. Use the individual product’s details and request any missing measurement before payment.
Measure a belt that already fits
- Lay the belt flat without stretching it.
- For a pin buckle, measure from the point where the buckle pin meets the strap to the hole you normally use.
- Record the unit, such as centimeters or inches, and the strap width separately.
- If the fastening is a clamp, hook or chain, send us the measurement you have and ask which usable-length convention applies.
Your clothing label alone may not identify the length you need. A belt worn at the waist can require a different length from one worn lower on the hips.
Compare the measurements
| Detail | What to check |
|---|---|
| Wearable length | The usable length at the hole or fastening position you need. |
| Strap width | Whether the strap fits your clothing loops and the listed buckle. |
| Total length | Includes the tail; it cannot replace a usable-length measurement. |
| Reversible strap | Review both photographed sides and confirm the buckle arrangement. |
Enter a clear fit request
Where the product asks for a measurement, use wording such as “wearable length 90 cm, measured from buckle pin to used hole.” This is an example of how to state a request, not a guaranteed available size. We confirm measurements and availability for your selected item before sending payment instructions.
Do not assume a strap can be shortened, a buckle interchanged or holes added unless our team confirms that option for the specific item.
